While scrolling through the #indiedev feed on twitter today, I came across a man named Louis. Louis is currently attending Oxford University for history of all things. You'd think that seeking a degree at one of the most prestigious universities on earth would be kind of a full time job. But to my dismay he's not only pursuing a degree but is also working by himself on the development of Cult of the Valley. Cult of the Valley is a "small open world exploration game." And I can honestly say that this game looks extremely promising!
The art style very much resembles a more dark and ominous version of Campo Santo's, Fire Watch.
At this moment all I've seen of Cult of the Valley is several striking landscape photos. But that's all I need to get excited for this small open world. Plus with a name like Cult of the Valley you'd naturally assume that the story is going to follow the dark tone of the art closely.
